MacBook Pro White Noise?

May 17th, 2008 Posted in Apple Inc., OS X | No Comments »

In mid-February of this year, I went to a friends house to help them with some computer issues. When I open my own laptop computer, I was greeted by white noise. huh? Yes, you know when flip the channels on regular television with no cable and there is that channel that has white noise. Well, that was my laptop that day. I waited for about a minute and heard sound notification for my iChat making a connection to the internet. So, I said to myself that the computer is actually working but the screen was having some problems. I would never expect such an error from a mac. lol! I decided to close the lid of my MacBook Pro (Mid 2007) and wait till it went to sleep again. I reopened the lid and more white noise but different this time. I decided to commence with a hard reboot, which fixed the screen issue. I have never had that problem since but it was very spooky. The interesting thing that the first time the screen shows its “colors”, a imprint of the password dialogue to unlock my screen was in appearance in the center of the screen. Mystery? sure!, Did I call apple? Nope! All in all, an interesting experience. I still love Apple.

Hercules and Love Affair Secret Show

Hercules and Love Affair Live in NYC

The Hercules and Love Affair secret show was very good to say the least. The venue was not packed to the gills, which was ok because it was a secret show. I found the music to be energizing and made me dance (Note: I do not dance!) hope no one was looking. The third song of the set seemed to get people moving more and more as somewhere already under the spell of the disco grooves.
I do not think people were expecting Antony to show up.
I certainly was not, but I am sure there were a handful of huge large fans that were expecting him. Many are hoping he shows up to their next show at Studio B in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Regardless if Antony were to show up at any of their shows, I feel this group has the musicianship, execution, production and song writing to make an impression. Their first test seemed to be successful, with the horns of Carter and Jason hitting hard and singers Kim Ann and Nomi filling the room with clarity. Lets not forget the grooves setup by DJ Andy Butler, Morgan, Guy and Andrew. May 17, 2008 at Studio B will be no secret and it will be packed to the gills.
